Over the weekend, Broadway For Hillary held 'Broadway Calls for Clinton,' the organization's first action day of phone banking for the Clinton campaign. Broadway's brightest came together for this volunteer organized event for a day of voter outreach in support of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, and BroadwayWorld has photos below!

More than 60 of your favorite stars of stage and television will come together for one unforgettable day to appear Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the 30th Annual Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The 2nd-annual Voices for the Voiceless: Stars for Foster Kids concert was just held last night, September 12th, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. This special event, presented by Beachbody.com, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, brought together the brightest stars of stage and screen to raise awareness about the plight of kids in foster care, particularly those aged 13 to 21 whom many consider 'unadoptable' because of their age. BROADWAY FOR HILLARY has just announced Broadway Calls for Clinton, the organization's first action day of phone banking for the Clinton campaign.

BROADWAY SUPPORTS BLACK LIVES MATTER, a concert directed by Tonya Pinkins originally to be held on September 11, 2016 at Feinstein's/54 Below, has been cancelled due to the venue's conflict with part of Black Lives Matter's platform.

This week, 'Hamilton' actor, Daniel J. Watts, 'Shuffle Along' Tony- nominee, Brandon Victor Dixon, and 'Motown' actor, Warren Adams, partnered up to organize 'Broadway Circle Up- This Is How We Shoot Back' a video project that saw more than 100 members of the Broadway community meeting under the lights of the Minskoff Theatre to raise their voices in protest of the continuous cycle of prejudice and violence toward black citizens.

Eighty members of the Broadway community spent the night sleeping on the street to raise funds for Covenant House.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present "DUETS with thewriteteachers.com Volume 4," in a special LGBTQ+ Edition. This one-night-only event benefitted the One Orlando Fund. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

I'm a huge fan of Twitter and Broadway - and for me, as someone who doesn't live in NYC, those two go hand in hand. Using social media I've been able to stay connected with everything happening in the New York theatre community and make some great friends along the way.
