MCC Theater has announced the complete casting for the World Premiere production of soft by Donja R. Love (one in two). Directed by Whitney White (On Sugarland), soft will begin previews on Thursday May 12, 2022 in the Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater at The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space (511 W 52nd Street New York, NY 10019).

The Kimmel Cultural Campus and The Shubert Organization present the musical comedy phenomenon, HAIRSPRAY, winner of eight 2003 Tony Awards including Best New Musical. As part of the Kimmel Cultural Campus' 21-22 Broadway Series, the show plays the Miller Theater (formerly the Merriam Theater) from Tuesday, May 17 – Sunday, May 22, 2022.

When the Shanley Players first announced that they were to present The Lightning Thief, I was very intrigued. This musical is adapted from the book The Lightning Thief written by Rick Riordan. I have personally never read the books, but my kids were all huge fans. I did, however, see the movies with my kids when they came out. Knowing this was a new musical for me, I purposely did not listen to any of the songs before hand. As far as I can tell, this is the local premier of this show.

Hot Clown Company has announced a new artistic residency with longtime host venue, the Newport Theater. The partnership will kick off in 2022 at the venue's blackbox cabaret with the opening of Hot Clown Sex: Looking for a Third on April 29 and 30; May 27 and 28; and June 24 and 25 at 9:30 P.M.

Jamaican Pop sensation Conkarah has released “Millonario” featuring Latin GRAMMY® Award winning superstar Pedro Capó via BMG. “Millonario” was produced by Patrick Romantik (Enrique Iglesias, Thalía). “Every Day” and other songs including special guests such as Pedro Capó, Shaggy, Romain Virgo, and Fiji will be featured on Conkarah’s new EP.

GODSPELL, the international hit musical loosely based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, April 8, at 8:00pm.  In keeping with the theatre's pay-what-you-can opening night tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5 minimum donation.

Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl is set to be presented by The Mason Players. It will appears at George Mason University TheaterSpace (de Laski Performing Arts Building, Room: A105) on the Fairfax Campus, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030. The play runs from March 3rd through the 6th, with shows on the 3rd-5th at 8pm and shows on the 5th-6th at 2pm. Eurydice tickets are $30 for general admission and $15 for students, faculty/staff, and seniors.
