WAITRESS Returns To Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre in November

Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce WAITRESS will return for a limited two-day engagement this Fall. The diner opens up for one performance on Saturday, November 6 and two on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Theatre Aspen's 2021 season continues with the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages (July 30  – August 21) by Chris D'Arienzo, directed by Tony nominee Hunter Foster, in his  fourth consecutive summer at Theatre Aspen and choreographed by Abbey O’Brien (Waitress; Jagged Little Pill), who returns after stints as director and choreographer of  the 2019 Theatre Aspen Holiday and Summer 2020 Cabaret Series.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts Announces 2021-2022 Season

The State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA, has announced its 2021-2022 Season, the 95th season at the historic venue.  Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre Members on Monday, August 2nd, and to the general public on Monday, August 9th.

Darren Criss to Headline Theatre Aspen Summer Gala; Full 2021 Season Announced

The 2021 Theatre Aspen summer season lineup has been announced. The 38th season, running from June 30 – August 31, will include two musicals, Chicago and Rock of Ages, the return of the organization’s developmental one-person show festival, Solo Flights, and multiple special events, as well as three Theatre Aspen Education productions.

Performing Arts Fort Worth has announced its 2020-2021 Broadway at the Bass Season at Bass Performance Hall! The seven-show series features exciting new titles direct from Broadway, freshly revamped revivals and multiple Tony Award-winners. Brian Stokes Mitchell Will Perform at 2020 Theatre Aspen Gala

Theatre Aspen (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) announced today that the organization's annual Gala, this year with a special 'Rockstar' theme, will be held at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado, on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The evening will feature a special performance by two-time Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate; Man of La Mancha; Ragtime).

WAITRESS Makes Its Sarasota Debut At The Van Wezel

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall will present the Sarasota premiere of WAITRESS for a limited three-day engagement! The diner opens up on Friday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m. and runs through Sunday, January 26 with a total of five performances. Attendees will even have the opportunity to purchase pies at the hall while supplies last. Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as 'The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie' and 'Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.' When a baking contest in a nearby county - and a satisfying encounter with someone new - show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.

BWW Review: WAITRESS at Morrison Center

Based on a film by the late Adriene Shelly. Waitress began its pre-Broadway run in 2015 at the ART ( American Repertory Theatre). Having it's Broadway opening when it opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on August 15, 2016. The score includes numbers such as Opening Up, When He Sees Me and She Used to Be Mine; it appeals to those who like classic show tunes, and those who prefer pop. With music from seven time Grammy® nominee, Sara Barellies, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson, and choreography originally by Lorin Latarrom, but recreated for this tour by Abbey O'Brien.
