Last night, The New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke and Board Member Kelli O'Hara launched the new PopsEd Ambassadors initiative, which connects The New York Pops network of talented guest artists with its transformative music education programs. PopsEd music programs provide children throughout the five boroughs of New York City with opportunities to be inspired by music and to ultimately foster a life-long appreciation for the arts. Also, contrary to published reports, Nathan Lane is not currently attached to the workshop. We have confirmed that featured amongst the cast are Bobby Steggert, Michael Urie, and Alan Cumming. The New York Times is now reporting that Tony-winning director John Tiffany is directing and 2008 Tony nominee Daniel Evans is playing 'Bobby', who will be gay in this version of the show.

MAMMA MIA!, the global smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, will transfer from the Winter Garden Theatre to the Broadhurst Theatre this fall. BroadwayWorld has conformed that the show will play its final performance at the Winter Garden on October 19. Peformances will begin at the Broadhurst on November 2.
