Sarasota Orchestra Receives NEA Grant To Support 2023 Sarasota Music Festival
Sarasota Orchestra has been approved for a $15,000 Grants for Arts Projects award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support the 2023 Sarasota Music Festival. The three-week Festival runs from June 5 – 24 and features a schedule of 12 different concerts, as well as a wide range of masterclasses, coaching sessions, and rehearsals.

This substantial award will help advance Sarasota Orchestra's mission to engage, educate and enrich the community through high-quality, live musical experiences by funding the purchase and repair of instruments specifically designated for the Orchestra's education programs.

Samuel Slater Experience Opens March 4 With Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Samuel Slater Experience, a historic museum featuring state-of-the-art 4-D digital technology to tell the story of Samuel Slater, the beginnings of the American Industrial Revolution, and the founding of Webster, Massachusetts in the early 19th century, will open its doors to the public this Friday, March 4, 2022 with a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 AM.
