Growing up in Essen and Hamburg, Thomas began to discover the piano as a four-year-old. At the age of 12, he composed his first song and performed for the first time in a Hamburg music club. Soon after, he founded his first band, "Cakewalk", with whom he made a name for himself in the Hamburg live scene over the next few years and took the first place in all relevant band competitions (among other things "NDR H rfest"). After studying at the "Stageschool of Music, Dance & Drama", he has played countless musical main roles all over Europe. The Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn even wrote for him the musical "The Count of Monte Christo". In addition to his musical career, Thomas Borchert continued to write songs, gave solo concerts and produced his first album "The Best Of Goodbyes" (under the pseudonym Tom Reed) in 1999. To date, he has recorded three more albums and an EP with his own songs; Including "more than every word", which was awarded the "Prize of German Song Poets".
