The Paul Rudd All-Star Bowling Benefit raises crucial funds that help send young people who stutter to Camp SAY. Last year's event raised over $200,000, helping children from families-in-need benefit from this life-changing camp experience. More than 70 million people stutter, including 5% of all young children, and approximately 1 in every 100 adults.

The Stuttering Association for the Young (SAY.org) will host its 17th Annual Benefit Gala, honoring long-time SAY supporter and Tony Award-winning director Thomas Kail with the Budd Mayer Advocacy Award, and inducting SAY's Musical Director Everett Bradly into the SAY Hall of Fame. Hosted by Broadway's Tony-Award-winning, past SAY Honoree Kelli O'Hara, the benefit gala will take place on Monday, May 13th, 2019 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place), followed by a Chef's Tasting Event at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.

Today, the Orpheum Theatre Group announced a new education initiative for the fall. Memphis will be one of four cities to bring a special pilot program called Camp SAY Across the USA to its local community. An extension of the NYC based organization SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young, this two-day camp will take place at the Halloran Centre November 17 and 18, 2018 and is open to ages 8-18. Orpheum Vice President of Education, Jennifer McGrath has been actively involved in the SAY organization for 15 of its 16 years and is excited to bring this program to the Memphis community.

The event will recognize individuals who inspire young people who stutter, this year's honorees are 2017 World Series MVP George Springer, (Hero Award), Marcia & Bill Withers will be inducted into the SAY Hall of Fame and Linda D'Alessandro & Jay Badame (President & COO AECOM Tishman) (Budd Mayer Advocacy Award). The evening will be hosted by Tony Award winner and former SAY honoree Kelli O' Hara, with a special presentation by Joe Moglia (Chair of TD Ameritrade Board). The Gala Performance will be directed by SAY Founder & President, Taro Alexander with musical direction by Everett Bradley.
