Shinnerrie Jackson

BIO

Shinnerrie Jackson is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the University of Tennessee. She has traveled the US with the one woman educational show Ain't I a Woman playing Fanny Lou Hammer, Clementine Hunter, Sojourner Truth and Zora Neal Hurston. Shinnerrie has also performed regionally having been in One Night with Janis Joplin as understudy and background singer at Arena Stage, Cleveland playhouse and San Jose Rep. She has appeared at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre in Electra (Female Chorus), Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Cassandra) at both St. Louis Rep and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. T.V and Film credits include 30 Rock (Happy Anna Howard Shaw Day) and Whit Stillman's Damsels' in Distress(Waitress). Shinnerrie is currently an Asst. Professor of Theatre at The University of Tennessee Knoxville.
