Sharon Leal

Leal began her acting career as Dahlia Crede on the CBS daytime serial Guiding Light (1996–1999). She later joined the Broadway company of Rent and was cast as Mimi for the San Francisco leg of the musical's first national tour. She appeared on the original cast recording of the Off-Broadway musical Bright Lights, Big City (1999), alongside Patrick Wilson and Jesse L. Martin, and on the cast recording of Making Tracks (2001).

From 1998 to 1999, Leal appeared as Marita Peters in the television series Legacy. She starred as Marilyn Sudor in the Fox television series Boston Public from 2000 to 2004. Her film credits during this period included Face the Music (2001), in which she played Tracie, and the short film What Are the Odds (2004), in which she played Nikki. She also appeared as Monique DeSouza in the NBC series LAX (2004–2005).

In 2005, Leal guest-starred as Nina in an episode of Las Vegas. She appeared as Michelle Morris in the film adaptation of Dreamgirls (2006), alongside Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx. In 2007, she played Lauren Sloan in an episode of CSI: Miami and appeared in the films Motives 2, as Nina, Why Did I Get Married?, as Dianne Brock, and This Christmas, as Kelli Whitfield. She also appeared in the television series Private Practice (2009), playing Dr. Sonya Nichols, and in the film Limelight (2009), as Nina.

Leal reprised her role as Dianne Brock in Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010). She played Vanessa Lodge in the television series Hellcats (2010–2011) and appeared in the films Linewatch (2008), as Angela Dixon, Soul Men (2008), as Cleo Whitfield, Little Murder (2011), as Jennifer, and Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day (2012), as Kari Ames. Her television credits included Lisa Parker in Suits (2011), Dr. Madeleine Enright in Person of Interest (2012), Inspector Liza Brahms in Perception (2014), and a recurring role as Lori Samuels in Reed Between the Lines (2015).

In 2013, Leal played Shenae Brown in the film 1982 and appeared as Cathrine Wright in The Last Letter. She also appeared in the television movie Guilty as Sara Weston. Her film credits in 2014 included Freedom, as Vanessa, and Addicted, as Zoe Reynard. In 2015, she played Annie in the television movie White Water and appeared as Nicole Rickter in The Good Wife and as Lori Samuels in Reed Between the Lines. She portrayed Tyler "Zuri" Ellis in the television series Grimm from 2014 to 2016.

Leal appeared as Sofia in the film 36 Hour Layover (2016) and as Phoebe in Shot (2017). She played Charlotte Graham in the television series Recovery Road (2016) and Renee Tyler in Dead of Summer (2016). From 2016 to 2021, she appeared in Supergirl as M'gann M'orzz, also known as Miss Martian, with recurring roles in Seasons 2 and 6 and guest appearances in Seasons 3 and 5.

In 2017, Leal appeared in the film Bella's Story as Kim and played Dianne Brock in Why Did I Get Married Again? (2026). Her other film credits included Amateur (2018), as Nia, Paper Friends (2019), as London, Blindfire (2020), as Nika Wilkins, A Holiday Chance (2021), as Naomi Chance, and Traces (2021), as Claudia. She also appeared as Lt. Jasmine Gooden in the television series Instinct (2018–2019).

Leal played Breeze Browne in The Good Doctor, appearing as a guest during Seasons 1 and 2 and in a recurring role during Season 3. She appeared as Michelle in the television series Council of Dads (2020) and as Sidney Haworthe in Pretty Little Liars (2022–2024). Her additional television credits include Lisa Parker in Suits, appearing in the episodes "Dirty Little Secrets" (2011) and "Yesterday's Gone," and Tyler "Zuri" Ellis in Grimm.

In 2014, Leal released her album Leal.
