Last night was the officially opening night for someone spectacular, the world premiere of a new play by Doménica Feraud, directed by Tatiana Pandiani. New York Stage and Film has announced the early-career film and TV writers who have been selected to participate in the 2023 Filmmakers’ Workshop. The participants are Nancy Duff; Harrison Hamm; Drew Harper; Atticus Hoffman; Summera Howell; Anndi Jinelle Liggett; Allyson Morgan; Craig T. Williams; and G. Wilson.
WOLF PLAY, TITANIQUE & More Win at the 2023 Lucille Lortel Awards

The 2023 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out this evening to recipients in 15 categories, with four honorary awards also bestowed. The Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball hosted by stars of stage and screen: Kevin Cahoon (Tony nominee, 'Shucked'), D'Arcy Carden ('The Thanksgiving Play'), Crystal Lucas-Perry (Tony nominee, 'Ain't No Mo''), Bonnie Milligan (Tony nominee, 'Kimberly Akimbo'), Arian Moayed (Tony nominee, 'A Doll's House'), and Tamara Tunie (The New Group's 'Bernarda's Daughters'). The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League and Lucille Lortel Theatre, with additional support provided by TDF.

MCC Theater Adds Additional Week for Donja R. Love's SOFT

MCC Theater announced an additional extension for the World Premiere production of soft by Donja R. Love (one in two) and directed by Whitney White (On Sugarland). Last extended through July 10, soft will now run through July 17, 2022 in the Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater at The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space.

MCC Theater's SOFT Will Now Resume Performances on May 28

MCC Theater’s production of soft will now resume performances on Saturday, May 28 at 2:30pm. They played one preview performance on Thursday May 12. Opening night is now scheduled for June 9 and the production will run through June 26.
