BIO
Samantha Barrios is an actress and director both on stage and film. Currently, she is serving on the board of the Morgan-Wixson Theatre as the VP of Marketing and Production. Recently she’s been seen on stage as the loveable Minnie Williams in the world premiere of Deadly at Sacred Fools. Other theatrical highlights include Pippin (Leading Player), Daddy’s Dying Who’s Got the Will (Sara Lee), Dangerous Obsession (Sally), Women of 4G (Baston), Wait Until Dark (Susan), Major Barbara (Barbara), Sordid Lives (LaVonda), Twelfth Night (Feste & Olivia), Lend Me a Tenor (Maggie,) Two Gentleman of Verona (Sylvia), Steel Magnolias (Shelby), The Rocky Horror Show (Magenta), Hedwig (Yitzak). Notable past directing productions have included Romeo&Juliet Choose Your Own Ending, Beheading Columbus, the premier of Destiny: The Napoleon and Josephine Story, An Ideal Husband, The Isle of Dogs, Crimes of the Heart, and the Youth Jubilee at Radio City Music Hall. There is a Granny at the Pianny, a funny wolf, and an adorable Little Riding Hood. Sacred Fools Theater Company is launching its 23rd season with the World Premiere of the musical DEADLY by Vanessa Claire Stewart with Music by Ryan Thomas Johnson and directed by Jaime Robledo. Taking place in 1893, a time of hope and optimism as the World's Fair turns the globe's eyes toward Chicago and the cultural explosion of art and technology on display. But it is also a time when a demon lurks beneath, taking advantage of the adventuresome spirit of modern-thinking and very independent women. It just wouldn't do to forget who they were.

Kentwood Players, the community theater group based at the Westchester Playhouse, was founded in December 1949 by Jan and Arky Marcom, for whom the group's annual Marcom Masque Awards are named. The first Marcom Masque Awards were presented for the 1957-1958 season with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof winning the award for Best Play. The 2018-2019 season included the following six productions: Match, Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will?, Dangerous Obsession, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Our Town, and Sunday in the Park with George. Awards are determined by all Kentwood Players members who voted by secret ballot in several artistic categories after seeing each show, Season Subscribers, and production teams for all shows.

Yazmine Reza's 2009 Tony Award winning play GOD OF CARNAGE centers on two sets of parents, unknown to each other until their 11-year old sons, Benjamin and Henry, get involved in an argument in a public park because Benjamin refused to let Henry join his 'gang'. In their altercation following the snub, Henry knocked out two of Benjamin's teeth with a stick, details we learn in the opening scene taking place that night as the parents of both boys meet to discuss the matter. However, as the evening goes on, the "adults" become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening dissolving into chaos.

Los Angeles play development lab Fierce Backbone joins forces with Drive Theatre to launch audiences into a murder mystery on a mission to Mars. Amy Tofte's futuristic dramedy WOMEN OF 4G launched on May 19 for a four-week run and is now extended through June 17.
