George Takei, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and More to Be Honored at Celebration Of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) have announced the date and honorees for its inaugural Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television. Several honorees are Broadway performers, including Nathan Lane, George Takei, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. The gala event will be hosted by actress, stand-up comedian, and writer Sherry Cola, a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and a barrier breaker as a queer Chinese-American immigrant woman in film, television and comedy. 
MY POLICEMAN Starring Harry Styles to Have World Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival

From Prime Video, My Policeman stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Gina Mckee, Linus Roache, David Dawson and Rupert Everett. It is directed by Michael Grandage from a screenplay by Ron Nyswaner, based on the book by Bethan Roberts. Producers are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robbie Rogers, Cora Palfrey and Philip Herd. 
Jelani Alladin & Noah J. Ricketts Join Matt Bomer's Showtime Limited Series FELLOW TRAVELERS

SHOWTIME has announced that Jelani Alladin (Frozen, Hercules), Noah J. Ricketts (To My Girls, Frozen) and Linus Roache (Batman Begins, HOMELAND) have joined the lead cast of its new limited series FELLOW TRAVELERS, also starring Matt Bomer, Jonathan Bailey and Allison Williams. Bomer will also executive produce the new series.

GLSEN has announced that FLETCHER and Lena Hall will each perform at the GLSEN Respect Celebration.  GLSEN also announced Jennifer Beals, Jess Cagle, Wilson Cruz, Connor Franta, Jim Parsons and Alexandra Shipp will be part of the celebration.  GLSEN previously announced Antoni Porowski as host.

The new Barbara Berlanti Professorship in Writing for the Screen and Stage marks the foundation's largest philanthropic commitment to any organization to date.

After overwhelming demand and six months of sold-out performances earlier in 2019, magician and cruciverbalist David Kwong will bring his immersive evening of puzzles, cryptology and illusions back to New York City for a limited engagement, beginning November 1, 2019 that must end January 2020.

GLSEN, the leading education organization working to create safe and inclusive K-12 schools for LGBTQ youth, is pleased to announce that it will honor Amazon Studios with the Visionary Award at the 2019 GLSEN Respect Awards – Los Angeles.  Amazon Studios Chief Jennifer Salke will accept the award on behalf of the organization.  As previously announced, Apple CEO Tim Cook will receive the Champion Award.
