Rogue Theater Festival is at again! Making waves this year in person at The Players Theatre AND digitally on ShowTix4U, Rogue is ready to present a brand new lineup of shows in their, here to stay, hybrid theater festival. Lasting from June 30th through July 3rd, the festival will include 18 brand new shows to be presented LIVE and in person at The Players Theatre along with 27 brand new shows that can be streamed on demand virtually on ShowTix4U.

Triangle Rainbow Theater creative director Anthony Fusco will be presenting it's first annual LGBTQ Short Play Festival of one acts on Saturday February 27th & Sunday February 28th @ 3:00PM & 5:00PM, and Saturday March 6th & Sunday March 7th @ 3:00PM EST.

After three successful shows, renowned cookbook author, lifestyle and entertaining expert Pamela Morgan brings her one-women cabaret show back to The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street, New York City), for one night only on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 7:00 pm. It will be a fun night of singing, dancing and lots of laughs for all those who attend. In addition, Acclaimed singer, actor and MC/Host Richard Skipper will be Pamela's special guest for the evening.

On Thursday November 28th, The Tiffin Bay Folk Club's Intimate Spaces Concert Series is pleased to welcome back local music sensation Nonie Thompson to their stage in the Midland Cultural Cenre. While on her own she is a veritable one-woman show, for this concert she'll be letting loose with a full band 'The Rollin' Sands Band' featuring Eugene Rea (vocals, guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo, bouzouki, whistles), Karen Reed (fiddle), Gary Kreller (accordion, piano), Ken Brown (double bass) and Michelle Josef (drums).

On Tuesday, October 30, Teens for Food Justice(TFFJ) held its annual gala, "Feast 2018 with Chef David Laris," an immersive dinner theatre experience honoring international superstars Emilio and GloriaEstefan, model and actress Karolina Kurkovaand her husband Archie Drury at Tribeca Rooftop. The event, attended by over 250 guests, supports TFFJ's mission to galvanize a youth-led movement to eradicate food insecurity in one generation.

The 2nd Annual FEAST Gala benefiting Teens for Food Justice, hosted by Mario Batali and honoring Tara Smith, was held last night, November 27th, at La Sirena by Mario Batali at The Maritime Hotel, 88 Ninth Avenue, NYC. On Wednesday May 3rd, The American Heart Association's 20th Annual Heart of the Hamptons Ball began celebrations with a kick-off party in New York City. The gala will take place on June 25th at the Hayground School in Bridgehampton.

Your intrepid correspondent saw two plays this weekend, Andrew Case's THE RANT at the Gamm Theatre in Pawtucket and NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH by Alan Ayckbourn Upstage at 2nd Story Theatre in Warren. Each of these plays dealt a violent death at the hands of the police. THE RANT is a powerful, drama about the dark recesses of murder and unknowability, while NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is a light-hearted romp through the dark recesses of middle-class paranoia. I enjoyed them both very much, but then I'm middle-class with dark recesses of my own.

The inaugural BROADWAY'S GOT GUTS event was a spectacular evening of wonderful entertainment by Broadway's brightest singing the wonderful standards and hits sung by the late, great Nancy LaMott with proceeds supporting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's on November 2, 2015 at the Friars Club. The show Farberesque: From Pensive to Provocative at 3West57 Project presented by Cavalier Gallery is a fascinating overview of the vast body of work created by the iconic photographer who has influenced scores of the world's leading photographers with his painterly, impressionistic style that allows the viewer to see the subject from a different perspective by creating unique compositions .
