BIO
Nico Juber is an award-winning musical writer named to the Women to Watch on Broadway list by the Broadway Women’s Fund. She is the creator of MILLENNIALS ARE KILLING MUSICALS, an original pop-rock musical comedy where identity meets the algorithm, and her work has been featured on stages across the U.S. and in London.
MILLENNIALS ARE KILLING MUSICALS was supported by New York Theatre Barn’s New Works Series and mostlyNEWmusicals, received an Off-Broadway developmental production with Out of the Box Theatrics in 2023, and underwent a workshop at IAMA Theatre Company. The Off-Broadway cast album was released by Yellow Sound Label and Brainstorm Records. The musical received its world premiere production at The Colony Theatre in Los Angeles in May 2026, directed by Tony Award nominee Kristin Hanggi.
She is the co-writer of WINNER with Joe Barros, developed by New York Theatre Barn, The London Summer Music Theatre Academy, The Johnny Mercer Writers Grove at Goodspeed, UC San Diego ArtPower/Blindspot Collective, and premiered at Monroe Township High School. A concept EP was released by Theatre Barn Records.
Her sci-fi short musical HOLO won one of the top awards in the 2020 NAMT Challenge and premiered at the Beck Center for the Arts with Baldwin Wallace Music Theatre. She also won the Drama League’s Light the Lights Songwriting Challenge for “Our Next Act,” written with Selena Seballo.
Other collaborations include the viral Smirnoff Smash Tea Partay with Rocky Paterra; commissioned songs for 54 Below, the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Ring of Keys, and the play Stormé; and work featured in the Live & In Color 24-Hour Play Festival and The A Chronicles.
Nico is a member of the Dramatists Guild, ASCAP, and Ring of Keys, and serves as Maestra Moms affinity group co-chair. She holds a B.A. from Tufts University, and gives back through her nonprofit Thrive/Survive Los Angeles, which supports young adult cancer survivors.
