Nancy Travis

Marg Helgenberger began her professional acting career on stage in New York, appearing in It's Hard to Be a Jew at the American Jewish Theatre, followed by Brighton Beach Memoirs. She was a founding member of the Off-Broadway company Naked Angels, appearing in Aven U-Boys and King of Connecticut, and made her Broadway debut in I'm Not Rappaport (1985).

BIO

Marg Helgenberger began her professional acting career on stage in New York, appearing in It's Hard to Be a Jew at the American Jewish Theatre, followed by Brighton Beach Memoirs. She was a founding member of the Off-Broadway company Naked Angels, appearing in Aven U-Boys and King of Connecticut, and made her Broadway debut in I'm Not Rappaport (1985). She also starred in My Children, My Africa. Her screen debut came in the television film Malice in Wonderland (1985), followed by the ABC miniseries Harem (1986) and guest appearances on Spenser: For Hire and Tales from the Darkside.


Travis made her feature film debut in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and reprised her role in Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). She also appeared in Married to the Mob (1988), Eight Men Out (1988), I'll Be Home for Christmas (1988), Internal Affairs (1990), Loose Cannons (1990), Air America (1990), Passed Away (1992), Chaplin (1992), The Vanishing (1993), So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993), Greedy (1994), Fluke (1995), Destiny Turns on the Radio (1995), Body Language (1995), and Bogus (1996).

She transitioned to television with the lead role in the CBS sitcom Almost Perfect (1995–1997). During that period, she also provided voice work for Duckman (1994–1997), appeared in Gun (1997), and starred in and produced the television film My Last Love (1999). She also produced and starred in the sitcom Work with Me (1999), followed by roles in Auggie Rose (2000) and Running Mates (2000).

In 2002, Travis starred in the television adaptation of Stephen King's Rose Red and joined the cast of the CBS sitcom Becker for its final two seasons. She later appeared in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), The Jane Austen Book Club (2007), The Party Never Stops: Diary of a Binge Drinker (2007), and starred in The Bill Engvall Show (2007–2009). Her subsequent television credits include Safe Harbor (2009), The Pregnancy Pact (2010), In My Shoes (2010), Desperate Housewives (2010), Grey's Anatomy (2011), and How I Met Your Mother (2011).

From 2011 to 2021, Travis starred opposite Tim Allen in the sitcom Last Man Standing. She also appeared in Hart of Dixie (2011), Mr. Mercedes (2017–2018), and The Kominsky Method (2018).

Her recent work includes the film Ordinary Angels (2024), the Hallmark drama series Ride (2023), and the Lifetime film Rescued by Faith: The Connie and Larry Van Oosten Story (2026).
