The popular Mother City festive season music festival, Unity On The Square, returns with an artist line-up of the 'who's who in South African music' this December.

Celebrated Cape Town-based saxophonist Don Vino along with other award-winning South African artists, Jimmy Nevis, Loyiso Bala and Ernie Smith will be setting the stage on fire for Women's Month with Saxy Vibes 4.0 in Cape Town.

A brand new local music festival, Unity On The Square will aim to promote a sense of unity, hope, and love this holiday season, when it takes centre stage in The Mother City next week.

Popular performers like Barry, Loukmaan Adams and Eden Classens will join the newcomers on stage. Suidooster star, Natasha van der Merwe, known for her role as Suzie Naudé in the soapie, will make a special guest appearance.

All Star Entertainment and GrandWest presents Cape Town's first contemporary pantomime, written and directed by Allistair Izobell and featuring a stellar cast of performers.

The Suidoosterfees and Atlantic Studios revive the classic drive-in theatre. From 4 to 15 November 2020, festival productions will be available in a brand-new format with audiences watching it on the big screen from the safety and comfort of their cars.

The Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy (LAMTA) ended 2019 on a festively Lloyd Webber note with its first musical theatre production, ENCORE!. Supported by well-known names in local theatre and touring productions, ENCORE! showed off the triple threat stylings of their 20-plus students by taking the audience on a trip down musical memory lane.

Following the overwhelming success of #JustMen last year - tackling the scourge of violence against women and children and toxic masculinity - the second instalment, takes this urgent conversation to the next level, at the Baxter Golden Arrow Studio, for a limited season, from 17 July to 3 August, at 7.30pm. There are three selected schools' matinee performances.

The Baxter Theatre Centre's latest flagship production #JustMen, which calls for men to unite and take a stand, will have its world premiere at the Baxter Golden Arrow Studio, for two weeks only, from 13 to 30 June, at 7.30pm nightly.

This summer, the Baxter Theatre Centre's festive season line-up and popular New Year's Eve party is set to entertain local and visiting audiences in true Cape style. All three productions will culminate with the New Year's Eve bash in the foyer after the performances and early booking is advised.

Cape Town's beloved comedian Marc Lottering's darling character Aunty Merle goes mainstream in the world premiere of Marc Lottering's musical-comedy AUNTY MERLE - THE MUSICAL, which is currently being performed on stage at the Baxter Theatre Centre in what is sure to be one of the highlights of the festive season in the Mother City this year.

Award-winning actor, comic and musician Sne Dladla possesses an irresistible charm and raw talent and will soon star in ICHAMELEON, presented by Nik Rabinowitz and directed by Loukmaan Adams. The show runs at the Baxter's Golden Arrow Studio until 8 July.
