Jodi Stevens

Jodi began her professional career while attending Penn State University, booking the Off-Broadway production My Name Is Pablo Picasso before graduating with a BFA in Acting. She went on to work steadily in musical theater, performing in regional productions, workshops, and Off-Broadway shows before making her Broadway debut in Jekyll & Hyde (1997). She later took over the role of Lucy in the production.

Her theater credits include originating the role of Pam in Urban Cowboy, touring as Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor, and regional productions including Annie at Goodspeed Opera House, Sweeney Todd at Gateway Playhouse, Harmony at La Jolla Playhouse, Dietrich and Chevalier Off-Broadway, I'll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers at Music Theatre of Connecticut, and Mamma Mia at ACT of Connecticut.

Jodi won the Connecticut Critics Circle Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Singin' in the Rain (2017). She has also received Connecticut Critics Circle nominations for I'll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers, Gypsy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Hairspray, and Legally Blonde. She continues to perform professionally, including her solo cabaret show A Broad's Way.

In addition to performing, Jodi has taught singers, actors, and speakers for more than 15 years. She is a member of the New York Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), serves on the Penn State University School of Theatre Alumni Board, and has led master classes in acting, musical theater, and cabaret. She has also taught Musical Theatre and Voice/Speech at the Performing Arts Conservatory of New Canaan, directed school productions including The Music Man, 101 Dalmatians, The Jungle Book, The Lion King, and Giants in the Sky, and co-founded SBE Studio, where she teaches private lessons and group classes.
