4th Wall Theatre Company, Houston's fastest growing professional theatre known for its extraordinary performances and intimate, high-quality productions, has announced its 13th season.

4th Wall Theatre Company has announced that longtime collaborator and Houston theatre community mainstay, Jennifer Dean is stepping into the role of their Managing  Director. 4th Wall announced its search for a new managing director late last fall and after an  extensive search and interview process is excited to have Jennifer join the company full time  January 5, 2023. 

4th Wall Theatre will present the Houston premier of Will Eno's Broadway sensation 'The Realistic Joneses.' Eno's critically acclaimed play will re-unite 4th Wall Co-Artistic Directors Kim Tobin-Lehl and Philip Lehl as Bob and Jennifer Jones. Featured in this all-start cast will be guest artist Vaishnavi Sharma as Pony Jones. Ms. Sharma is perhaps most well-known for her regular appearances on Amazon Prime's 'Mr. Robot' alongside Academy Award-winner Rami Malek. She has also been featured in New York-based BEDLAM Theatre's 'Pygmalion' and the original smash hit production of Kate Hamill's 'Sense and Sensibility.' Drake Simpson will complete this stellar cast as John Jones. Mr. Simpson was last seen in 4th Wall's award-winning productions of 'Lobby Hero' and 'True West.' Returning to 4th Wall to direct is Jennifer Dean, who previously directed a beautifully realized production of 'Collected Stories' by Donald Margulies and a brilliant staging of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' by Edward Albee. This collaboration of Houston's most highly recognized professional artists and a nationally recognized award-winning guest artist will surely make 'The Realistic Joneses' the theatrical event of the season.

Saturday was beautiful night under the stars and LimonCarr Desert Theatricals, in partnership with the City of Rancho Mirage, provided just the right entertainment with their production of The Pirates of Penzance.

It's two women playing writers - one older and one younger. An ALL ABOUT EVE tale spins out, and the show has interesting dynamics to share about artists when they become close friends.

This production will feature Houston's beloved Kim Tobin-Lehl as Ruth Steiner, the exalted Greenwich Village short story writer, and joining Tobin-Lehl as Ruth's protege, Lisa Morrison, is Houston native Reagan Elizabeth.

Within the first few seconds of Kim Tobin-Lehl's amusingly frenzied entrance onto the 4th Wall stage in SHAKESPEARE IN VEGAS, one word immediately crossed my mind-'authentic'. For the subsequent two-hour performance, authenticity remained to be a theme present in the developed characters, the feel-good storyline, and the entertaining true-to-the-industry moments that any involved theatre individual would be able to relate to. This isn't the first time a theatre newbie has stolen the scene from the star, the first time actresses have gotten catty backstage, or the first time an actress was hired for a role they believed would be much more wonderful than the reality was. However, for wise-guy director Tony (Philip Lehl), his season was indeed going to be one of firsts: He was going to bring Shakespeare to Las Vegas.

4th Wall Theatre Company announces an exciting line up of four Houston premieres for the company's eighth season. The 2018 - 2019 season includes two plays written by men and two by women, and brings a large amount of artistic diversity to the 4th Wall stage.

4th Wall Theatre Company's 2017 - 2018 season wraps up with the regional premiere of Suzanne Bradbeer's hilarious comedy, Shakespeare in Vegas May 17 - June 9, 2018, at Studio 101, Spring Street Studios, 1824 Spring Street, Houston, TX 77007. 4th Wall offered a staged reading of the play during its 2017 "4th Wall Reads: Women's Voices" series. 4th Wall audiences will remember Bradbeer's work from the 2014 production of her political drama, The God Game.

4th Wall Theatre Company has announced that due to an overwhelming critical mass of support in its community, and the financial support of Ken Bohan, President and owner of The Liberty Group - who will lead fundraising efforts and help implement necessary changes that will move the organization forward - 4th Wall Theatre Company is staying open!

Join 4th Wall Theatre for Reckless, the classic American, dark holiday comedy by Craig Lucas. This reimagining of the company's 2010 Houston production once again stars Kim Tobin-Lehl as the put-upon protagonist, Rachel, and features a strong ensemble cast including former Alley Theatre company member John Feltch; 4th Wall favorites Jennifer Dean and Nick Farco; and Deborah Hope, Kathleen Teodoro, and Zac Kelty in their 4th Wall debuts. Directed by Philip Lehl, Reckless previews November 30th and runs December 1st - 16th at STUDIO 101, Spring Street Studios.

Main Street Theater opens its 42nd Season with Enemies by Maxim Gorky, adapted by David Hare.  Enemies tells the story of Russian society in 1905 when the country sat ready for revolution.  Directed by MST Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden, this collaboration with the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance features a cast of 24, 8 of whom are UH students.

Directed by Kim Tobin-Lehl and Jennifer Dean, LOBBY HERO is realistic and gritty with characters that are built from deep within.
