Fresh off sold-out runs up and down the East Coast, award-winning performer Amanda Nicastro brings her acclaimed solo show I'm Just Kidneying to the East to Edinburgh Showcase. This whimsical comedy tells her true story about becoming a living kidney donor as part of a paired donation that saved two lives - her sister and a diehard Donald Trump supporter.

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) announces the 2019 line up for the annual EAST TO EDINBURGH festival. EAST TO EDINBURGH begins on Tuesday, July 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 28. The performance schedule varies. Does the singular act of donating a kidney make you a hero? Amanda has a certificate dedicated to her heroism but she's uncomfortable with that label. On the other hand! She loves the attention being a hero provides her so she wrote a solo show about all the containers of pee she had to carry on the subway. I'm Just Kidneying takes a whimsical look into the process of living kidney donation and pokes holes into the idea of what it takes to be "hero material."
