The Tank to Present Free Performance of Crystal Skillman's OPEN in November

The Tank, in partnership with The Flying Carpet Theatre Company, announced the return of a special production of Crystal Skillman’s magical play OPEN, featuring the original direction of Jessi D. Hill and starring Lily Ali-Oshatz. The production will play a free preview performance on Monday November 14, 2022 at 4pm at The Tank.

Kairos Italy Theater, the main Italian theater company in New York, has announced the finalists for the 2021 KIT International 10 minute plays series on Political Theater. The theme was chosen as KIT celebrated the famous Italian writer Leonardo Sciascia, on the occasion of Sciascia's 100th birthday.

KIT Italia, The International Theatre and KIT - Kairos Italy Theater have announced the launch of OnStage!festival, a new Festival of American Theater in Rome, Italy. The first edition of the festival will run January 21st - 27th 2019, featuring a selection of the best American independent theater taking the stage in the Italian capital. Submissions are now open for its main 'Shows' category as well as for the 'OnStage! Award' for US-based playwrights. Deadlines are March 30th, 2018 for 'Shows' and June 20th, 2018 for the 'OnStage! Award.'

Italian Theater Festival' NY, the first Italian theater festival to take place annually in all five New York City boroughs and beyond. Laura Caparrotti, Artistic Director of KIT and Founding Director of the Festival, reports that attendance was about 800 people throughout this two-week celebration of Italian theater, which was held in intimate venues in all five boroughs.
