Young has had the whirlwind of a year, having wrapped his four year tenure with the first National Tour of the hit-Broadway musical, HAMILTON this summer, then impressing the all-star coaches with a three-chair turn & swooning audiences on NBC's The Voice, ultimately joining John Legend's team on the show.

Fresh off the national tour of Hamtilon, Deejay Young performed during The Voice's Auditions last night, wowing the judges with Kate Bush's 'This Woman's Work.' The 33-year-old Florida native appeared on the show's season premiere last night on NBC, getting offers to join the teams of Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Gwen Stefani. Watch the video!

From the opening drum sequence to the first note, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s behemoth musical that changed the course of the Modern American Musical as we have come to know it completely draws you in, and the silence of the room waiting with bated breath is almost extinguished by the deafening roar of excitement exuded from the audience.

Yet somehow, due in very large part to the Covid-19 pandemic, the January 6th insurrection at our nation’s Capitol, and the repercussions and reverberations of those two cataclysmic events that have followed in the intervening two-and-a-half years, Hamilton seems to be more resonant, its story more relevant and its presentation more heartrending and current than ever before.
