Chris Blisset Biography
Chris Blisset is an actor, musician, director, composer and comedian based in New York City.He directed the music to the first and second national tour of Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story, as well as scores of shows coast-to-coast.
He is one of the composers of the musical Basquiat.
He co-wrote, arranged and played Broadway star Felicia Finley's album Great Mood for a Tuesday. He has been seen live as musician, music director and composer with dozens of other Broadway stars (including Eric Summers, Lena Hall, Brenda Braxton, Julius Thomas III, Tituss Burgess, Chris Jackson, others.)
Mostly known for shows that utilize actors as on-stage orchestra, he has acted and directed in shows in 45 states.
He can be seen doing stand-up comedy on youtube and live.

Based on the motion picture written and directed by John Carney, the Sundance film-turned-Broadway-hit won eight Tonys, including Best Musical. The touching love ballad, 'Falling Slowly,' also won the Oscar for Best Song. It runs February 15 through March 2, 2019.

LIVING FOR TODAY, with musical direction by Nate Patten, and direction by David Alpert, played a one-night-only engagement at the newly renovated Joe's Pub last night, October 17, 2011 at 7:00PM. The fourth annual LIVING FOR TODAY concert showcased Broadway stars in an exciting night of music. This year's concert, titled FIRST NAME BASIS, featured everyone's favorite showtunes, but only those with a first name in the title. Proceeds go to the Gilana Shira Alpert Fund.
