Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch, written by Robyn Grant and Daniel Foxx with music by Tim Gilvin, tells the “true” story of Ursula, starting from her childhood and ending with what happens after The Little Mermaid (both 1989 and 2023).

Shawna Hamic (Orange is the New Black, 1776 on Broadway) will lead the cast of the critically-acclaimed musical parody Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch at Birmingham Hippodrome from Thursday 11 to Saturday 13 April 2024 opposite Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK star River Medway as Ariel.

Critically acclaimed musical parody Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch is set to return this December following its highly successful 2022 UK tour. With an original hot pop soundtrack and trademark filthy humour, the production will splash into Southwark Playhouse Elephant for 10 weeks this winter before swimming across the UK through to summer 2024.

This summer, the Belgrade Theatre’s B2 auditorium will host two revivals of sell-out Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 shows. May Queen makes its highly-anticipated return from Mon 27 June – Fri 1 July, and The Allesley Silas takes centre stage from Sat 23 – Sat 30 July.

This July, the Belgrade Theatre is delighted to be staging Alan Pollock's The Allesley Silas in B2, following a sell-out run by From the Heart Theatre Company last summer during Coventry's City of Culture year. Based on George Eliot's beloved novel Silas Marner, the production will run from Sat 23 – Sat 30 July.

Fat Rascal Theatre and Wildpark Entertainment announce casting and tour dates for critically acclaimed hit parody musical Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch opening at Underbelly Festival Earls Court from 21 June - 16 July before splashing into The Lowry, MAST and Cast Doncaster in September - things are gonna get wet.

The Stage today announces the shortlist for its prestigious The Stage Debut Awards 2019, in association with Access Entertainment. Voting has also opened for The Joe Allen Best West End Debut Award 2019.

Following the announcement of their site-specific performance festival Read All About It!, the Belgrade Theatre and Mercurial Dance have now revealed full casting for the project, which runs at the former Coventry Evening Telegraph Building 10-14 July.
