Independent theater company PAUL returns to the stage with their latest production Nongod, a new play by Leon Lone, directed by Caitlyn Marr. Nongod comprises three short plays, each placing the complexities and absurdities of human relationships against the backdrop of a different polytheistic tradition – from the afterlives of Ancient Egypt to the bloody sacrifices of the Aztecs. The cast features Georgia Kate Cohen, Emily Ma, Jacob Morton, Joey Rotter, and Mike Spara, with stage management by Henry Isaacs. Headed by artistic directors Caitlyn Marr and Lana Meyer, PAUL’s mission highlights the development of surprising, off-the-wall theatrical works, and support for young artmakers based in New York City. The production will kick off with an open dress rehearsal on May 7, followed by four performances May 8 – 11, including Saturday and Sunday matinee performances. Nongod runs May 7 – 11 at the Sargent Theatre (in the American Theatre of Actors) at 314 W 54th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10019.
