Into the Woods is a Tony-winning 1986 musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine that intertwines Brothers Grimm fairy tales—Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. It follows a Baker and his Wife trying to lift a witch's curse, exploring the consequences of wishes and the responsibility of "happily ever after"
