A 50-year cyclic odyssey of: Farewell, and Erase is a bold, multilingual ethnodrama built from real interviews, a brilliant marriage of documentary performance and participatory theatre experiment.

Using Farewell My Concubine as a cultural thread stretching across more than two thousand years of Chinese history, the piece moves through opera, film, memory, and live testimony. Drawing inspiration from Chen Kaige’s Farewell My Concubine and Chen Peisi’s The Stage, it asks urgent questions about identity, power, workplace culture, absurdity, cultural inheritance, and the future.
