Duets and Drama at The Cell Theatre

NEW YORK, NY — This Memorial Day, audiences are invited to experience an intimate evening of music, storytelling, and theatrical camaraderie at DUETS & DRAMA: A Spring Salon of Great Singing and Storytelling, taking place Monday, May 25 at 7:00 PM at The Cell Theatre in Chelsea. Doors open at 6:30 PM.

Presented in the spirit of the classic European salon concert, the evening will feature a vibrant program of duets, arias, Broadway classics, and personal anecdotes performed by:

• Chelsea Bonagura, soprano — Los Elementos, Alekko, Pagliacci (NYCO)

• Kathryn Olander, piano — Carmen, La Traviata (New York City Opera)

The repertoire will span beloved works by Puccini, Verdi, Bernstein, and Sondheim, blending the worlds of opera and musical theatre in a warm and conversational setting designed to bring audiences closer to the performers and the stories behind the music. Throughout the evening, audiences can expect candid stories, backstage anecdotes, and reflections from the artists alongside the music itself.
