The Pop Ups will debut their new musical, Radio Jungle in Brooklyn on April 22nd. The performance also celebrates the release of their second CD release, a ready-for-primetime collection.

The Pop Ups have won national critical acclaim for their stage show “PASTA: A Pop Ups Puppet Musical,” which has enjoyed successful runs in New York and Los Angeles, as well as the fall 2011 Yo Gabba Gabba Live Tour, press notes state. PASTA! is an educational and comic musical adventure through the magical land of Brooklyn. With the audience’s help, The Pop Ups search for the ingredients to make the best (locally sourced) pasta sauce ever. The kid and adult-friendly show features colorful puppetry (created by puppeteers from The Muppet Show, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Dinosaur Rock). The Pop Ups plan a performance of PASTA! A Pop Ups Puppet Musical on Saturday, March 31st, as part of Symphony Space's weekly Just Kidding performance series.

With Radio Jungle, their new comedic, musical adventure, The Pop Ups find more than they bargained for when a normal trip to Pop Up City turns into a fantastic quest through the jungles of Mexico. New puppet friends join the crew from the PASTA! show to help The Pop Ups find every color of the rainbow in a high energy, ecological scavenger hunt.

Copies of The Pop Ups’ new CD Radio Jungle (April 3) will be available for purchase at the show.
