THE ZOMBIES: THE MUSICAL Opens June 19 on 42nd Street

RJR & Associates presents The Zombies: A Musical a world premiere musical comedy with book and lyrics by Max Resto, choreography by Tricia Brouk and Compositions/Sound Design by David J. Rios. Max Resto directs a cast* of thirteen including Phillip Akogu, Tammi Cubilette, Alex Daly, Luis Galli, Sam Given, Tamrin Goldberg, Emily Holland, Rich Hollman, Tova Katz, Russell Kohlmann, Christina Pagán, Alex Parrish, and Thomas Poarch. The Zombies: A Musical is being staged at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street (bet. 9th & 10th Avenues) in NYC for a five week limited engagement from June 12 - July 13, 2014. The Zombies: A Musical plays for twenty-eight performances from June 12 through July 13, 2014 on the following schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 8pm, Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 4pm.

Max Resto (writer/director) is a prolific entertainment journalist, newspaper editor, commentator as well as writer, producer, director of film and television programs. Author of four books, his works of fiction have appeared in three anthologies of contemporary Latino writers while his columns, reviews, interviews, comments and essays have been published in magazines, newspapers and Internet sites. As Features Editor for The San Juan Star in Puerto Rico, he guided the newspaper's growth in the world of entertainment reporting. He was Film Commentator for the radio program En Otra Frecuencia on AM radio and for the TV shows Hoy 940 on PBS affiliates WIPR and WIPM.

David J. Rios (composer) began his career working on several Productions for Terramax Entertainment as Sound Designer and Music Producer. David engineered and re-mastered a vast amount of digital music archives for Los Angeles based RTS Music under the tutelage of Dr. Raymond Torres-Santos. In 2012 he composed the original music theme for the award winning animated short film Masters of the Sea. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Entertainment Technology from CUNY.

Ralph Rivera (producer) has been associated with the entertainment industry. A Price Waterhouse & Co. alumnus, his hands-on experience includes: the development, packaging, financing, production, marketing and distribution of motion pictures and home entertainment products. He has held major senior executive positions with such corporations as the talent agency International Creative Management (ICM), Marble Arch Productions, producers of "On Golden Pond", "Sophie's Choice" and Marvel Comics' production of the animated series: "Spider Man". Ralph is also an award-winning author of "HOLLYWOOD... Se Habla Español" a book that celebrates 100 years of Latinos in Hollywood films. He has been awarded as a documentarian for his work on preserving the achievements of Hispanics in the US. Over the last twelve years, he has guided the financial aspects of Dramatists Play Services, the premiere publishing and licensing company in American theatre. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the Baruch School of Business in New York.
