The Cake is a comedic and poignant play by Bekah Brunstetter that explores the conflict faced by Della, a conservative baker from North Carolina, when asked to create a cake for the wedding of Jen, the daughter of her late best friend. As Della grapples with her beliefs, her marriage, and her love for Jen, audiences will witness a touching story inspired by real events. Directed by Carol Fisher, the cast features Della, a quirky woman in her 50s, her deeply religious husband Tim, and the conflicted Jen with her outspoken fiancée Macy. The production runs from March 14 to April 11, 2025, at Bergen County Players.
