SteppingStone's Prudence Johnson Puts on Benefit Concert TALES OF A MISSPENT YOUTH on 5/31
By: Louisa Brady
Prudence Johnson has been one of SteppingStone Theatre's Music Directors for years, and now she's bringing her friends Kevin Kling and T. Mychael Rambo to the SteppingStone Theatre stage for one beguiling evening. The SteppingStone Theatre is proud to host this special concert, Tales of a Misspent Youth, by Prudence and her friends to benefit SteppingStone Theatre and their programs.
Prudence Johnson is well known for her silky-smooth voice and jazzy interpretations of songs. Kevin Kling has been a constant presence as a storyteller on MPR and stages across the country for years, and he'll bebringing his trademark wit and observation of the everyday. And T. Mychael Rambo's voice is unmistakable. His rich baritone has led Penumbra Theater's "Black Nativity" for years, and he was featured on SteppingStone Theatre's CD "No Picnic Being Cheese," that Prudence produced for us a few years ago. All of this amazing talent on one stage, and an opportunity for you to support SteppingStone Theatre's important work with Twin Cities children and youth. It will be an evening not to miss! Prudence Johnson is well-known around the country for her regular appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, her many collaborations with musicians such as Claudia Schmidt and Dan Chouinard, and of course for her
work with hundreds of young SteppingStone Theatre actors over the years.
