Ryan Lear & Rachel Petrie present THE FINKLES’ THEATER SHOW At Bedlam Theatre

Performing at the Bedlam Theatre for a limited, one weekend run, local actors Ryan Lear and Rachel Petrie return as Carl and Wanda Finkles in the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival success, The Finkles' Theater Show. The first originally written and produced show by Lear and Petrie, The Finkles' promises to be full of the same fun and innocent humor that made the first run such an enjoyable experience.
This one act, one hour comedy stars Carl and Wanda Finkles, two naïve but eternally optimistic theater lovers. After years of watching from the audience, they enthusiastically decide to put on their own production and share their joy of theater with others. Armed only with their knowledge of what they think good theater should be, they proceed to accidentally poke fun at typical theatrical conventions and those who take "the art of theater" much too seriously. Through all of this, Carl and Wanda find that making theater isn't as easy as it seems and that beautiful things can happen even when the best laid plans don't turn out as expected.During it's five show run at the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival, The Finkles' was extremely well received by audiences, earning an overall review of 4.5 out of 5 kitties at fringefestival.org. The show had two sell out performances, and was one of the 57 out of the total 162 festival shows that sold over half the seats for every performance.
