reg e gaines is the author/ lyricist of the Tony Award winning musical, Bring In Da Noise/ Bring In Da Funk. He is a poet, playwright, director, lecturer and the Artistic Director of the Downtown Urban Arts Festival in New York City since 2007. Under The Influence is an original creation the he will be debuting in Tampa and touring Nationally for Black History Month.

In this one man show, Under The Influence, he speaks of his influences and inspirations including Gil Scot Heron, Basquait and of course his friend and collaborator Savion Glover and many more!
