Join in watching Maestro Gerard Schwarz – Frost School’s Distinguished Professor of Music; Conducting and Orchestral Studies – lead the exceptionally talented students at the Frost School of Music in an evening of beautiful Orchestral Classics, old and new. The program features the Frost Chamber Orchestra performing W.A. Mozart’s fiery and forceful Symphony No. 35, written in 1782, and pianist Kevin Kenner playing Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21, which the composer completed in 1830 and played the solo at the premiere in Poland that year. Travel through time as the Frost Symphony Orchestra performs two movements of Serenade for Orchestra, first published in 1954, by Ulysses Kay, a prominent representative of the neoclassical school and nephew of jazz great King Oliver, along with Antonin Dvořák’s 1885 composition, Symphony No. 7.

Watch the livestream of Orchestral Classics for free on the Frost School of Music’s Youtube channel.
