The Cardinal Gibbons High School Drama Department presents its first show in the fall with Bright Star. Steve Martin and Edie Brickells Drama Desk award-winning musical is the uplifting and powerful tale of a summer romance blossoming into true love. Inspired by real events, this original musical tells a tale of love and redemption set against the backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and 40s. Accompanied by an ensemble of musicians and dancers, the story unfolds as a tapestry of deep emotion, beautiful melodies and enthralling performances.
