Charlie Bethel In One Man 'Beowulf' At Orlando Shakes

Directed by Orlando Shakes Artistic Director Jim Helsinger, Beowulf features actor/writer Charlie Bethel in a one-hour solo performance that is both a faithful adaptation and utterly accessible for those who slept through Medieval Lit. Based on the classic monster tale and morality poem, the intrepid hero, Beowulf, travels across the sea to save a kingdom from Grendel, an evil, man-eating monster, and its equally demonic mother, only to die in battle with an avaricious dragon.

Due to popular demand, Florida Studio Theatre extends David Mamet's Race for a tenth week in the Keating Theatre, now playing through April 2, 2011. The extension continues the remarkable success of FST's Mainstage Season; in January, FST broke all previous sales records at the theater by exceeding 10,700 subscriptions sold to the Mainstage series.

Some of the them include Seaview Radio Hosts Joe Ranieri & Jo Ann Pflug as well as Dramaworks' producing Artistic Director Bill Hayes. There is no cover charge for this evening.
