From the home of tango, following sell-out seasons in New York, London, Barcelona, Hamburg, Athens, Shanghai and Capetown, the Tango Fire Company of Buenos Aires returns to Jacksonville with their brand new show Tango Inferno - The Fire Within. TANGO INFERNO will perform at the Times Union Center's Moran Theater on Tuesday, February 22nd at 7:30PM for one performance only!
Led by Principal Dancer and Director of Choreography Yanina Fajar, Tango Inferno -The Fire Within stars 10 dazzling dancers including 3 Tango world champions accompanied by four virtuoso musicians. Tango Inferno - The Fire Within is performed to tango's greatest music including the legendary Piazzolla and songs of its most-loved singer, the King of Tango, Carlos Gardel.Thirty minutes prior to the performance of Tango Inferno, the audience* is invited to join the cast on stage for a traditional milonga. The milonga is a public dance which replicates the atmosphere of the late night dance halls of Buenos Aires where Argentineans, young and old, meet to practice the art of tango. (*limited numbers on stage & no stilettos permitted)
