Sol Children Theatre to Present A CHRISTMAS CAROL - A MUSICAL TO RAISE THE SPIRITS, 12/5-21

The well-loved tale of the penny-pinching miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and the awakening of his long-forgotten festive spirit is a seasonal tradition for many. Sol Children Theatre will revisit Charles Dickens' ghostly tale of the Past, Present, and Future in an exciting new musical adaptation of the timeless classic. Staying true to the original text, this version of A Christmas Carol - A Musical to Raise the Spirits, with book and lyrics by Chris Blackwell and music by Piers Chater Robinson, draws upon Dickens' themes of time, family, and society's ills. The production will open on December 5th and run through December 21st at Sol Theatre in Boca Raton.
Downtown West Palm Beach to Launch Arts & Entertainment District This Week

The much-anticipated West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District (A&E District) will officially launch on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront Pavilion, 101 S. Flagler Drive. The celebratory launch event features a spectacular live performance produced and directed by Steven Caras, starring performers affiliated with six of the member organizations, called 'cultural partners.'

A portion of the proceeds for this event will support the Carbonell scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors to pursue a degree in theater or journalism.
