Beginning on November 15, FST's Green Room will remain open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9pm to 12am. Green Room Late Nights provide a warm and inviting atmosphere to relax and enjoy the theatre even after the performance has ended. FST's full bar is available, along with an after-hours menu. From his first Off-Broadway success, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, through his Tony Award-winning hit Memphis, DiPietro has examined many aspects of the human connection. In the Broward Stage Door Theatre's upcoming production of The Last Romance, DiPietro explores a relationship between a man and a woman who just happen to be over the age of 65, and the family ties that bind, and pull. The play is a gentle and tender comedy that mixes a lot of humor with a little bit of heartbreak... and opera!

There is something exhilarating about sitting in the audience watching a new work that you think could eventually become something special. More so than any other artistic medium, pieces of musical theatre require extensive gestation periods, sometimes with years numbering in the decades. So to see a musical, somewhat early on in that process, presents an exciting opportunity to be a part of its growth. Such was the case when I saw SEASONS at Orlando Shakespeare's Mandell Theatre, which is in the midst of a state-wide tour.
