Stage Door Theatre's final production in their long-time venue on Sample Road, Breaking Up Is Hard to Do, will open in Theatre 1 on July 6thand run through August 12th. (The company's next production, La Cage Aux Folles, will open in their new home at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center on August 31st.)

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County today announced plans for the 10th anniversary of AileyCamp Miami, an award-winning free summer camp that uses dance as a vehicle for the personal development of hundreds of youth throughout Miami-Dade County. To celebrate the milestone, the Center is rolling out a series of new initiatives that will enhance the experience for the Miami youngsters, including a mentoring program, a new hip-hop element for the 2018 camp and an exciting partnership with South Florida's oldest ballet school.
Riverside Theatre Celebrates 20th Anniversary of FESTIVAL OF TREES

On Friday May 4th, over 40 designers from the 2017 Festival of Trees congregated at Riverside Theatre to celebrate the successful 20th Anniversary of the Festival that transpired in November 2017. Attendees to the gathering were also the first to hear the theme for the 21st Annual Festival of Trees, "Favorite Things," which will be held the weekend of November 16-18, 2018.

Miami City Ballet Appoints Tania Castroverde Moskalenko as its New Executive Director

Miami City Ballet today announced the appointment of Tania Castroverde Moskalenko as the ballet company's new Executive Director. The appointment was made after an extensive, six-month international search. Castroverde Moskalenko, who returns to the city where she immigrated with her family 30 years ago as a political refugee from Cuba, will assume the leadership role alongside City Ballet Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez on August 7, 2018. As Executive Director, she will lead the company's institutional strategy, fundraising, and operations, building upon City Ballet's achievements as it advances its vision for the future.

Miami City Ballet (MCB) has announced its 52-member roster for the 2018/19 season, which opens on October 19 in Miami. The highlights include the return of principal dancer Jeanette Delgado, the promotion of Samantha Hope Galler from corps de ballet to soloist, and the addition of five new dancers to the corps de ballet: Gustavo Ribeiro, former corps de ballet member at Kansas City Ballet; Madison McDonough, formerly a member of the corps de ballet at Los Angeles Ballet; Nina Fernandes, formerly a member of the corps de ballet at Houston Ballet; Satoki Habuchi and Petra Love, both recent graduates of Miami City Ballet School.
