The Garden Theatre Offers Free Backstage Tours During Summer Months

The Garden Theatre is pleased to announce that guided backstage tours will be offered during the summer months of the restored Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street).

Tours will be once a month throughout the summer prior to Vintage Movies. Dates are:
Thursday, June 17 at 6pm followed by Rebel Without a Cause at 7pm
Thursday, July 22 at 6pm followed by Casablanca at 7pm
Thursday, August 12 at 6pm followed by To Have and to Have Not at 7pm
Thursday, September 16 at 6pm followed by Singin' in the Rain at 7pm

Tours are free; however a suggested donation of $2 per person is appreciated to help offset the cost. Purchase of a movie ticket is also not necessary, but is encouraged so the full theatrical experience can be enjoyed.

ABOUT THE GARDEN THEATRE

Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is operated by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization which works to preserve local history and offers cultural theatric experiences unique to West Orange County and the citizens of Winter Garden. The theatre restoration project, which began in 2003, showcases an atmospheric theatre in a Mediterranean Revival style venue. The former single screen movie theater hosts live theatre, dance and music, cinema viewings, various community events and educational programs.
