Hide and Hide, by acclaimed playwright Roger Q. Mason, is set to premiere at Skylight Theatre from May 17 to June 22, 2025. This provocative play, the second in a trilogy exploring California's history through themes of western expansion and gentrification, follows the intertwining lives of Constanza, a recent Filipina immigrant, and Billy, a white Texan rent boy escaping a conversion camp. Directed by Jessica Hanna, the story offers a critique of the American Dream against the backdrop of a gritty 1980 Los Angeles. Mason's award-winning writing aims to reflect contemporary issues relevant to the immigrant experience globally.
