The Arsonists at Skylight Theatre

Passive complicity has never been so much fun. Tony award winning/Emmy nominated team presents a fresh take on Frisch’s classic - with relevance to a new generation of Angelenos. Presented by an award-winning creative team led by Luke Harlan (The Gilded Age), Andrew Hawkins (Old Show Queens), and Jeff Marx (Tony Award, Avenue Q, music/lyrics). It’s wickedly entertaining, menacing, and increasingly hard to laugh off.

Arsonists have begun setting fires in neighboring towns. But that could never happen here—and certainly not in the Biedermanns' home. Everyone sees it coming—no one does anything to stop it. Not even the Greek chorus. A modern parable about what happens when our desire to be good prevents us from doing good. Written in the aftermath of World War II, The Arsonists is a chilling parable about people who see the warning signs, recognize the danger, but no one does anything to stop it.
