A one-night-only screening of F.W. Murnau's 1926 silent fantasy horror masterpiece, featuring live piano accompaniment by Larry Garf. Writer and humorist Rich Procter introduces the film and leads a post-screening discussion about Murnau's artistry and the legacy of Expressionist cinema. The film is an adaptation of Goethe's classic tale of ambition, temptation, and redemption, following the scholar Faust as he makes a fateful bargain with Mephisto, trading his soul for youth, power, and passion.
