TST's 13th 10-Minute Play Festival at Towne Street Theatre

Towne Street Theatre proudly presents its 13th 10-Minute play festival. The show is an exciting selection of 10 original short plays that explore the theme “Blast from the Past.” The 10 plays were chosen by a committee out of hundreds of submissions. From a high school reunion, and a couple reminiscing about their first date, to the legendary John Henry, Lizzie Borden, the Civil Rights era and the stigma surrounding HIV, the plays demonstrate the remarkable range of stories that can be told in just ten minutes. All performances are at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Hollywood. Previews are Saturday, October 3rd at 8pm, Sunday October 4th at 3pm, and Friday, October 9th at 8pm. The show opens on Saturday, October 10th and runs through Sunday, November 1st. There is no show on Halloween.

“The theme ‘Blast from the Past’ clearly resonated with writers,” said Veronica McClelland, CEO of Towne Street Theatre. “Our winning plays span eras and genres, but they all share a brilliant ability to capture a profoundly human moment in just ten minutes. We can’t wait to bring these fresh voices to life on the Stella Adler stage.”

Towne Street Theatre’s 10-Minute Play Festival celebrates the power of short-form theater while providing playwrights, directors and actors an opportunity to bring new work to Los Angeles audiences.

Tickets and reservations are highly recommended, and can be accessed here.
