Zoe Caldwell, Jordan Charney & More Set for THE MUTILATED Talkback, 11/23

Following a November 10th opening that was met with positive reviews, the producers of the current revival of The Mutilated by Tennessee Williams have added a post show discussion with cast members associated with the original 1966 Broadway production, where in ran with The Gnadiges Fraulein under the collective title Slapstick Tragedy. Four-time Tony winner Zoe Caldwell (Polly in The Gnadiges Fraulein, her first Tony award), Jordan Charney (Cop in The Mutilated) and Art Ostrin (Bernie understudy in The Mutilated, Cocaloony Bird in The Gnadiges Fraulein) will join Mink Stole, Penny Arcade and director Cosmin Chivu in a free talk following the November 23 at 3pm performance. The panel is moderated by Tennessee Williams editor Thomas Keith.

New Ohio Theatre Artistic Director Robert Lyons in association with Purpleman Theater presents Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel's And Baby Makes Seven. Directed by Marc Stuart Weitz, And Baby Makes Seven is an uproarious and timely comedy that has not been seen professionally in New York in 20 years. Performances will take place March 11-April 12 at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street, between Washington and Greenwich Streets). Opening night is set for Sunday, March 23 at 7:00pm.

After much demand, that little caterpillar is returning to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, along with an assortment of favorite puppet characters. Young children ages 3 - 7 will be awed and amazed by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's lively, family friendly production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Stories on Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4 at 12:30pm. All tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling Cheryl Wheeler at 631-288-2350 ext 102. The triple-bill runs for about 45 minutes and includes the wonderful story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar's metamorphosis, the fanciful account of Little Cloud's travels, and The Mixed -Up Chameleon's discovery of his own unique nature.

From the acclaimed Quebec troupe Le Theatre Motus comes Baobab, a cross-cultural adventure for ages 6 - 11 at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Thursday, December 5 at 10:00am & 12:30pm. The show runs about 60 minutes and uses puppets, live actors and musicians to depict a magical legend of the Baobab tree. Bay Street Theatre announces TYPHOON RELIEF FOR THE PHILIPPINES, a fundraising night of bands onSunday, November 24 beginning at 7 pm. Suggested donation $25, though any and all amounts are appreciated. All ticket proceeds will be distributed to the Red Cross to aid in helping the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman and WPPB radio host Bonnie Grice will co-host the evening. WPPB will broadcast with a live simulcast with a phone bank open for donations.

The ongoing Broadway Concert Series at the gorgeous John W. Engeman Theatre of Northport always make for a wonderful evening. During their dark week between shows, producer and host Stephen DeAngelis gathers the best of Broadway for an evening of songs and stories about their careers. Although this time there were brief moments of complete insolence from the audience, the sold out show was very well received.

Many are still lonesome for the energy, charisma and incredible voice of one of the most enduring icons of music history. A celebration of the life and music of Elvis Presley is scheduled November 8th at the Patchogue Theatre in Patchogue (Long Island) New York, when tribute artist Chris MacDonald presents his Memories of Elvis in Concert. Elvis Presley, recognized by TIME magazine as the 'Artist of the Century,' has sold more records than any other artist or group in the history of modern music.
