All For Alabama Benefit Concert Announced At Bay Street Theater Image

Benefits by Bay Street is pleased to announce All For Alabama: A Benefit Relief Concert For Tornado Victims. Many victims lost their lives and many more lost their homes and livelihoods. The concert will take place at Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts on Thursday, March 28 from 7 pm - 9 pm; emceed by Executive Director Tracy Mitchell and Southampton Town Supervisor, Jay Schneiderman. All proceeds will be donated to United Way of Alabama.

An evening of wonderful local music and talent is planned, with the Eagle River Band, and Jay Schneiderman & Friends and more. Suggested donation is $25, but any amount, large or small, is welcomed. Donations can be made online at baystreet.org, at the Box Office or on the phone at 631-725-9500 now or on the day of the event. Cash and checks are most appreciated to help provide maximum funds to the victims.

The Box Office is open Tuesday - Saturday, 11 am - 5 pm. Anyone unable to attend on March 28 may make a donation at the Box Office any time prior to March 28.

The All for Alabama relief concert is in honor of all those whose lives were literally uprooted in recent weeks by the tornadoes. Rebuilding will be required for many months and years to come.

"Everyone involved will be volunteering their time and talents, including all of the musicians, the Bay Street staff and volunteers, and Jay Schneiderman and his staff," states Mitchell. "It's always so heartwarming to see the artists and the entire community come together in times of need for others."

In addition to great music, the theater hopes to collect several donated items from generous local retailers and restaurants to assist in the fundraising efforts. Donated items may be addressed to Michele Wilson and dropped at the box office during business hours from 11 am - 5 pm daily. Please be sure all gifts are properly marked as to who the donor is.

Benefits by Bay Street is a program of Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts which periodically provides the theater and staffing for free to assist others in need. Past benefits include events for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines, the earthquake in Haiti, the tsunami in Japan, Long Island Victims of Hurricane Sandy, and the ambulance and fire teams who bravely assisted in the Sag Harbor cinema fire. Together these events have raised over $62,000 for those in need from the generous East End community.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is a year-round, not-for-profit professional theater and community cultural center which endeavors to innovate, educate, and entertain a diverse community through the practice of the performing arts. We serve as a social and cultural gathering place, an educational resource, and a home for a community of artists.
