Artists selected by the Selection Committee will display their works for a period of up to 8 weeks during the time period of Sept. 2011 and August 2012.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre Receives Chase $25,000 Award

Kansas City Repertory Theatre is one of the 100 nationwide not-for-profit organizations to receive the most votes in Round 1 of the Chase Community Giving Spring 2011 program. Each eligible charity in the Top 100 receives a $25,000 grant from Chase and advances to Round 2 to compete for additional grants.

Unicorn Theatre and UMKC Theatre partner again, this time to produce Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize Winning play, RUINED. This partnership, now in the third season, has great impact for both organizations. Graduate students pursuing their MFA in performance or design work right along professional actors, designer and directors to hone their crafts in a practical format. The Unicorn gains access to talented, young artists before they even start out their careers. Many students who have worked here as students, have since been hired back as professionals when they graduate.

A world of underwater imagination comes to life at Crown Center's 'Under the Sea Adventure' exhibit for the last time on May 1. Interactive stations include a pirate ship, submarine and whale's mouth that promise to entertain thousands of youngsters. The complimentary exhibit is located in the Crown Center Shops Showplace at 2450 Grand Blvd.
