Lawrence Arts Center Presents BUSKING THE SYSTEM
Lawrence Arts Center will present BUSKING THE SYSTEM on Firday, August 19 at 7:30 PM. Busking the System follows the real-life journeys of three talented young singer/songwriter guitarists who come from around the U.S. to pursue their passion as "buskers" - or street performers - in the bustling New York City subway system.
The film is filled with stunning musicianship and original songs, and also includes insightful comments from experienced buskers and experts who weigh in on the historical, legal and practical challenges of making a living below NYC.

Join Opera Directors Holly White and Hugo Vera as they bring over 30 opera and musical theater scenes to life featuring more than 40 participants. Each of the three performances will feature differing material so make a weekend of Opera and attend all three nights.
