The Amadán In Me at The Linenhall Arts Centre

Páraic Breathnach comes from a long line of Seanachies and storytellers from the Connemara Gaeltacht. "The Amadán in Me" unfolds in a style that sees the compère, Breathnach orchestrating an event that features a raft of often hilarious stories of Amadáns and their adventures. The stories are part biographical. In some, the hero Breathnach turns out to be a right eejit, with others describing the true nature of Amadáns and the various species and subspecies of eejits that are found in the west. The full amadán, the half amadán and both sides of an amadán are explained and illustrated in comic detail.
